Thinking of volunteering abroad with a group? Build Abroad organizes group trips for schools, churches, organizations, and families!
Make an Even Bigger Impact
By volunteering with a group, you can make a huge impact in a short amount of time. Group trips are popular because they allow you to work with your friends, classmates, colleagues, or family members to create lasting change in a developing area of the world.
Our group trips are sustainable, affordable, safe, and most of all…fun! We can also work with you to customize your trip to include special tours and other extracurricular activities. All of our programs come standard with:
- Group accommodations
- 3 meals per day
- Airpot pickup
- On-site support staff
- Spanish lessons (optional)
- Pre-departure support
- Fundraising support
Tell us about your group!
The Build Abroad Costa Rica program takes place in the rural community of San Ramon. Here, we work with locals to build and repair homes. Volunteers can expect beautiful scenery as they dig foundations, pour concrete, and complete masonry.
Volunteering takes place in the town of Antigua, located about 45 minutes from the capital and closest airport, Guatemala City. Despite Antigua being a hub for travelers, locals are often without proper shelter and schools. Volunteers will primarily be working on new construction of these schools as well as other community buildings.
Since the devastating 2010 earthquake, relief efforts have finally come to an end, but long-term development is very badly needed in the form of permanent housing solutions. The Build Abroad Haiti program focuses on building homes for families in need in the rural community of Pignon.
All volunteering takes place in the city of Cusco. Cusco is not the current capital of Peru, but was once the capital during the historic Inca Empire. Although Cusco has many things to see and do, the surrounding area needs development. Volunteers will be working on schools and clinics during their stay.
“I recommend this trip to anyone and would do anything to be back there myself. Regardless of your knowledge of construction, there’s something in it for everyone. You’re guaranteed to walk out with a smile and the feeling of having accomplished positive change.”
